THE DEAL IS SET!!!
We are delighted to announce a distribution deal has officially been signed for NOVEMBER SON. Ariztical Entertainment, a well-known distributor and production company whose focus is on indie, art-house and gay-themed product, has picked up our film for a tentative Spring 2009 DVD release at the suggested retail price of $29.95.

While Ariztical does serve up some "straight" fare, the fact that they mainly put out gay product will be a huge help in getting NOVEMBER SON into stores, onto television and across the internet. They have an excellent advertising department who regularly gets their films into all the major gay magazines like Out, Instinct, Genre, The Advocate and so on, plus mainstream horror mags like Fangoria, Rue Morgue, etc. So this deal is a very, very good thing.

Some of their most popular titles are the successful Eating Out comedy franchise (starring American Idol contestant Jim Verraros), Butch Camp (with Judy Tenuta), Breaking the Surface: The Greg Louganis Story (with Mario Lopez in a speedo) and the just released horror-comedy The Gay Bed & Breakfast of Terror.

Continue checking in for updates on poster art, additional theatrical screenings this winter, and more specific street dates as that information becomes available.

To see their product, go to www.ariztical.com.

For anyone interested in seeing OCTOBER MOON on the big screen again or for the first time, plus meeting not only director Jason Paul Collum but a plethora of indie filmmakers, TV producers and Radio broadcasters, check out the University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh event "MUSIC & MEDIA CONFERENCE" in Oshkosh, WI September 9 & 10, 2008. wpr.org/mmc

OCTOBER MOON will screen at 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9th. The trailer for NOVEMBER SON will follow. Collum and other panelists will appear throughout the day on Wednesday, September 10th, to discuss ways of getting into the film, television and broadcasting industries when you don't live in a big Metropolis. This event is FREE to the public.

In NOVEMBER SON news, we are in the final stages of locking down a contract with a well known distributor (whom we'll announce when the dotted line is signed). At this point, it looks as though more limited theatrical screenings for NOVEMBER SON will begin in November 2008, with a DVD release following possibly as early as January 2009!!! Stay in touch for more specifics in the coming weeks!

Happy Birthday to Me... and a BIG THANK YOU to all who attended our two premiere events this past weekend. Battling a nasty severe storm that put a tree down in my yard (not to mention the lightning strike my house took 3 days earlier), our cast/crew screening was still a smashing success with accolades abounding throughout the room for our cast, music score and cinematography.

It's been a rough two years to this point, and after a less-than-stellar test screening in July 2007 which resulted in a re-edit of 20 axed minutes and filming 4 new scenes, I wasn't entirely confident in what the end result would be. As wonderful a response as our Thursday screening was, I knew it was our first public screening on Sunday which would be the true test, as the audience wouldn't "owe" me anything. If they didn't like something, I'd know it. Well, I can breathe easier. A roar of screams, clapping and handshakes... even a few autographs later... I can say we've succeeded. I heard "even better than the original" over and over the rest of the evening.

So now we head to the future. Many have already asked about future screenings. We're currently speaking with a mid-west theater chain to do a week long run, so keep posted here for future screening dates, and DVD release information as well.

Thanks again to everyone who has supported NOVEMBER SON and your continued interest in our newest creation.

We know you're all growing tired of waiting for the OCTOBER MOON sequel, NOVEMBER SON, to shine its pretty face. At this point the editing, color correcting and ADR/voiceover work is complete! All we're waiting on is the final 20 minutes of the music score by Jamey Sewell. Should we give a release date? No. NOVEMBER SON's production has been too bumpy of a ride with technical snaffus, reshoots, etc etc, and every time we've announced a release date, said date has come and gone. However, the light is finally shining bright at the end of the tunnel, so it's time to start checking in frequently again to watch for an announcement of our theatrical dates. Hopefully sooner than later.
In other delightful news, Tempe Video direct has officially dropped the price on DVDs of OCTOBER MOON! After two years at the staggering cost of $24.99, you can now grab copies for a mere $14.99 (plus shipping & handling)!

Want more for your money? You can also grab OCTOBER MOON as a part of the QUEER FEAR 5-pack DVD released late last year. In addition to our cult classic, you can also find the scream queen documentary SOMETHING TO SCREAM ABOUT, the horror short JULIA WEPT (both produced by B+Boy Productions), Wayan Alan Harrold's lesbian slasher-fest GIRLFRIENDS, and Tempe's own comedy BAD MOVIE POLICE, CASE #1 (featuring OCTOBER MOON actors Jeff Dylan Graham, Darcey Vanderhoef and director Jason Paul Collum). To pick up any of these titles, visit www.tempevideo.com.

Finally, OCTOBER MOON continues to air successfully on the ON DEMAND network. Check your local listings.

As always, you can get more details at our sister site www.octobermoonthefilm.com.

BIG news all the way around for us. OCTOBER MOON has just received a contract to air on Pay-Per-View through the TVN Network beginning October 1st and will run through the end of 2007! And that's not all!

A distribution deal was recently signed for release in France thru the company Les Films de L'Ange. There is a minor change to the title, as company rep, Rémi Lange, recently informed us, "I entitled OCTOBER MOON le seul que j'aie jamais aimé (in French), [which translates to] THE ONLY ONE I EVER LOVED (taken from a sentence in the movie)....[the] DVD will release at the end of October 2007." More information posting as it becomes available.

Finally, for those waiting anxiously for NOVEMBER SON, we've finally shot the 4 additional scenes we felt needed to be added following our July test screening in Chicago. The new footage, involving some freaky interaction between Marti (Tina Ona Paukstelis) and Elliot (Jerod Howard), will amp up the suspense in the center of the story and bring more screen time to OCTOBER MOON's troubled couple, which we felt was missing. We're still looking to begin limited theatrical screenings this year - hopefully this November, which would make sense.

On a side note, the B+Boy Productions/Tempe Entertainment documentary SOMETHING TO SCREAM ABOUT, has just received a drastic price reduction both in stores and even LOWER directly from the Tempe website www.tempevideo.com. Check out this look at the lives of 10 horror film actresses including OCTOBER MOON's Judith O'dea (Night of the Living Dead), Brinke Stevens (Slumber Party Massacre), Ariauna Albright (Bloodletting) and NOVEMBER SON addition Debbie Rochon (Witchouse 3: Demon Fire).

Keep stopping by www.octobermoonthefilm.com and www.novembersonthefilm.com for television, DVD and theatrical dates on both films.

A NOTE FROM JASON PAUL COLLUM, DIRECTOR of NOVEMBER SON:

I wanted to extend a sincere Thank You to all those who attended the test screening of NOVEMBER SON and took the time to fill out the surveys following the show. Over 60 people attended the screening, and the responses we received were heartfelt and extremely important in helping B+Boy Productions and myself determine which direction the film will take from this point forward. With many planned edits and the filming of three new "scare" sequences, we hope to make NOVEMBER SON an even stronger and more suspenseful film, and hope you will give NOVEMBER SON a second viewing in its newer form in the future to see how your opinions altered the version viewed at Chicago's Flashback Weekend of Horrors.

If you would still like to receive the survey form and submit it through e mail, please contact me direct at jasonpaulcollum@hotmail.com. As always, you can keep up to date on release information at www.novembersonthefilm.com.

Best Regards,

Jason Paul Collum

The Flashback Weekend Horror & Science Fiction Convention in Chicago will be doing a test screening of NOVEMBER SON at 3 p.m. this Saturday, July 21, 2007. This is the first time NOVEMBER SON (a.k.a. OCTOBER MOON 2) will be screened by the general public. Although there is a charge to get into the convention itself, the screening is free, and will be attended by members of the cast and crew including writer/director Jason Paul Collum.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a ROUGH CUT of the film. Color corrections, sound FX and mixing, and the music score HAVE NOT been completed. The music used in this cut will not be the music used in the final version (since we stole it from other horror films). We are screening this so we can get early audience reaction before we lock the cut.

Audience members will be handed a survey card and asked to fill out their opinions after the show.

For directions, go to www.flashbackweekend.com.

On a side note, OCTOBER MOON has just been released in the Ukraine (with dubbing in Russian and French!!!) through DVD label Remihi / Gemini Films. Go to www.octobermoonthefilm.com for a peek at the box art.
June 23, 2007

At long last (over a year and a half since our distributor Tempe made the deal), OCTOBER MOON is being released on DVD in the Ukraine with all new voice overs/subtitles and more!!! Tempe President J.R. Bookwalter says, "No idea of the release date (it may already be in release), but the distributor is Gemini Film, [which is] the exclusive distributor for 20th Century Fox in Ukraine...." Check out the All New box art which is very similar to the U.S. release version.

In other news, you can see OCTOBER MOON on the big screen on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at Java Vino in Racine, WI as a part of their weekly Cine-Ma-Tic film series. Showtime begins at 6 p.m. with FREE ADMISSION and a Q&A with OCTOBER MOON/NOVEMBER SON cast/crew members present.

Finally, both OCTOBER MOON and NOVEMBER SON will begin back-to-back screenings beginning at the end of the summer. The double-feature event will be taken to film festivals around the country and will run through the fall of 2007. NOVEMBER SON will also begin public screenings on its own at the end of summer.

June 4, 2007

We just held another small snreak preview screening of the 2nd cut with 20 minutes of footage snipped out to tighten and frighten, and the response was fantastic! We're still going to go ahead and shoot a new 3 minute scene to add in another scare, but our psycho drama is pulling together very nicely. Still looking at our official opening towards the end of summer, so keep checking back!

Lloyd Pedersen (TV's UNSOLVED MYSTERIES), who plays the myserious love-interest to Nancy (Brinke Stevens) in NOVEMBER SON will be appearing on stage May 18 & 19, 2007 at the Wesley Hall in Antioch, IL (northwest of Chicago) to perform classic John Denver and Neil Diamond melodies. In other NOVEMBER SON news, our first cut is finally complete and we've decided to film 2 additional scenes to amp up the fear-factor in our "psycho-drama." Filming dates will likely be scheduled for later this month, which may push our release date back a few weeks, but reactions from what your humble director has seen thus far from preview audiences leads us to believe we have ourselves a great follow up to OCTOBER MOON.
Remember to keep coming back for more updated news and photos, plus a sneak peek at the first poster.

R.I.P. John Grzegorczyk
R.I.P. John Grzegorczyk

It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of John Grzegorczyk on Friday, March 16, 2007. Few details are available at this time. John was an actor who portrayed the Detective/Lieutenant in OCTOBER MOON and the upcoming NOVEMBER SON. He was also a regular in the theater scene in South-Eastern Wisconsin and held additional behind-the-scenes positions on other independent feature films such as the 1992 thriller THE PAINT JOB (1992). More details will be passed on as we hear them. It is believed a funeral will be held in Kenosha, WI on Tuesday, March 20th. Please keep John and his family in your thoughts...

Hello Fans and Curiosity seekers. The past few months have been extremely exciting and exhausting for B+Boy Productions as we continue with editing NOVEMBER SON. This past week a few pick up shots were completed with Judith O'Dea and Jeff Dylan Graham in Los Angeles. While O'Dea's scenes were a quick fix for an audio problem in a previously shot scene, Graham shot all new footage which was not a part of the original script, but has added an entirely new element to the story and just how vicious the villain of NOVEMBER SON truly is. While disturbing to watch, it was great fun to shoot as we got to smack the crap out of Mr. Graham, who delivers a very powerful performance in the time his character "Jake" appears on screen.

Beyond that members of the cast and crew of NOVEMBER SON and OCTOBER MOON appeared at Wisconsin's IT CAME FROM LAKE MICHIGAN film festival to promote NS and screen OM for an eager audience. Among those present were stars Brinke Stevens (Nancy), Debbie Rochon (Hillary), Jerod Howard (Elliot), Darcey Vanderhoef (Maggie), Director Jason Paul Collum, Executive Producer Michael John Isaacson, Cinematographer Jason Satterfield, and Make Up FX artist Jamie Bilke. The weekend included panel discussions, Q&A sessions and autograph opportunities.

Stay tuned as we get closer to the end of the year for more information on the progress of NOVEMBER SON and even the possibility of a few sneak peeks at scenes from this shocking follow up!
September 25, 2006

Readers of INSTINCT magazine (October 2006) can now catch a 2 page-full color story on the history of OCTOBER MOON and the making of NOVEMBER SON. We even receive major attention on the front cover of the mag, dead center! Complete with nice big photos of a gored up Ashley J. Anderson (Red), and a zombified Sean Michael Lambrecht (Corin) and Jerod Howard (Elliot) chasing Judith O'Dea (Emily) around, the article is an edited version of director Jason Paul Collum's on-set diary for the making-of NOVEMBER SON. Due to space constraints, INSTINCT edited the original piece from 3,700 words down to under 1,000 -- BUT FEAR NOT!!! You can read all of Collum's complete crazy thoughts and dirty laundry on our "Publicity" page. Much Thanks to INSTINCT for treating us so well during yet another spooky Halloween season.

In coming weeks you'll be finding additional glimpses at past publicity from Instinct, Fangoria, Quest and many other sources on both this site and our sister site www.octobermoonthefilm.com, so keep checking back!

September 23, 2006
Pick up shots for NOVEMBER SON were completed over the last 5 days (Sept. 18th - 22nd) bringing to a near close production on our sequel. With the filming of actors complete, all we need are pick up shots of trees, pictures, vehicles...those sorts of frivilous items. A much smoother run this time around. It was very strange to bring the group back together...sort of like the first week of school reuniting with friends.

Our editor Dennis Petersen has already been hard at work in Los Angeles putting all the puzzle pieces together from the first half of our shoot in July and it's exciting to see the story come to life! In coming weeks we'll deluge you with all new photos and possibly even a few film clip extras to whet your hungry appetites for this all new psycho-chiller! Stay Tuned!!!!

star Jeff Dylan Graham at Cleveland, Ohio's Twisted Nightmare Weekend, hosted by Griggs for the 4th year running. But the trail of terror won't stop there!

Be sure to seek out the cast and crew AGAIN at IT CAME FROM LAKE MICHIGAN Horror and Sci-fi Film Fest October 19 - 22, 2006 in
